Dr. Vinod Anand added another feather in his Cap by being Awarded as Precious Gems of India for his Revolutionary work in the field of Medical Industry.

Precious Gems of India Award is the initiative of NGO IAWA and organised by Amarcine Production curated by Dr.Daljeet Kaur Philanthropist, Actress , Cosmetologist, Social Activist and president of NGO IAWA. Awardees for Precious Gems of India were selected from various fields of Politics, Music Army ,Navy fashion entertainment, Doctors ,Lawyers social activist and many more.
Dr Vinod Anand is widely known as the father of the present medical revolution in india. He joined customs clearing and forwarding industry in the year 1985 when treatment and surgery of critical diseases was not available or was very expensive because of non availability of advanced medical equipment due to very high rate of custom duty at 176%.
It was very tough for patient who could not afford expenditure treatments where in patients, who could afford, would go abroad for their treatments and even most of the doctors would also prefer to go abroad for jobs.
Dr.Vinod Anand with his great efforts convinced custom authorities and the ministry of finance to reduce this high rate of custom duty to zero % during the early nineties due to which a large scale of import of medical equipment started and affordable treatment could become possible in Indian Hospitals.
This also resulted in onset of medical tourism in the country in a big way and India has earned foreign exchange worth 7.4 billion US dollars in the last 10 years which is expected to rise to USD 43 billion in the next decade.
Dr.Vinod Anand’ s organisation, Akanksha Global logistics Pvt Ltd has been able to handle import of medical goods till date worth more than 14000 crores which is a record in itself.
Dr. Vinod is the pioneer in creating awareness on Hospital equipment supply chains in India.He has been working tirelessly to bring a great change towards sustainable development of India with his innovative ideas and motivating many small hospitals to bring changes and work more towards affordable treatment for the underprivileged of our country
